Oh dear the London trade (and that includes Minicabs) let themselves down badly last night. No Taxi's out, No minicabs out. There were ques around the block at most ranks and stations, and that was at 3AM! So if there are any 'the games finished' crew reading this, who won't work after 4PM Mon - Fri, do yourselfs a favour and try coming out after it gets dark.
Never mind about Minicabs wanting to pick up of the streets, if last nights mayhem is repeated we'll see Tuk Tuks by the end of the year. I like to be busy, but not have people fighting to get in my cab. |

No Taxi's out, No minicabs out. There were ques around the block at most ranks and stations, and that was at 3AM! Wasn't it just a case of abnormal demand with Live8? |

It did'nt help the situation, as the Metropolitan Police shut every main road within 2 miles of the event. Still things were back to normal on Sunday. 'Pensioners in cabs' service resumed.

We didn't let our customers down, in fact we helped out in clearing some of your work. Our new customers couldn't work out why they didn't have to pay a massive booking fee. I wonder which part of the trade does that.
