Jasbar, I agree with Artur, go get a job in a supermarket. Why do you profess that the taxi trade is that bad and yet I presume you are still a Taxi Driver, doesn't make sense. Why don't you pop in to City Cabs, get a permit for the Airport and then you will have first hand knowledge of how it will operate and how the City Cabs drivers are getting on. well that did not go like I thought it would.
Jasbar in common with all my posts with skull and yourself it is evident one of us just posts thoughts/questions in a polite and courteos way whilst the others hurl insults and personal abuse. The reason I pm'd you was genuine and the questions were sincere.
Not surprisingly every time I ask either you or skull a straightforward question you both go of on tangents, usually about the need to know who I am, and never actually answer the point in question.
So for the last time here are FACTS about me. You may not like them, but they are FACTS. Also as all of us do in life I tell little white lies every now and then. That is because unlike some people on this forum I am not perfect. But for your info the following ARE facts

Taxi driver for 27 years
Worked for all major companies
NEVER owned nor wished to own a plate.
NEVER heard of skull till recently
NEVER heard of jasbar till recently
NEVER will reveal my details in this or any open forum

I would say to both yourself and skull do not confuse my ignorance of both you gentlemen and your impact on the Edinburgh Taxi Trade for the last few years as a lack of knowledge on my part about the goings on in our trade.
You see its really simple. As in any trade, there are those that actually do act for the trade and there are those that THINK they do. When I am out in my cab I drive all shift with a wee 20 min break. I NEVER have stood in garages like Canonmills and slaughtered other companies or Committees like many do. I drive to earn money for my family and it appears that driving makes you money as opposed to standing in garages which does not.
Of course every now and then issues such as big contracts come up in discussion with my owners but I have NEVER ever had any of my owners mention individuals such as yourself nor skull in ANY discussion about IMPORTANT taxi issues in Edinburgh.
Now both of you might not like that but it is a FACT.
I will leave it to others to comment on whether my view of not knowing who you guys are is unique or the norm
In closing I have to comment on your topic title in response to my pm. I would have had some respect if you had pm'd me back saying you were unhappy with my pm and intended to respond in open forum. That would have followed internet forum etiquette which is the usual way to behave. No you chose to insinuate a connection between my pm to you and masonic or football hooliganism???
Bizarre to say the least. I will give you one final FACT. I have never been a mason or a football casual.
I await with baited breath a vitriolic and predictably abusive response. It would be nice if you night actually accept as I said in my pm that I meant you no disrespect.
If you felt my pm was rude crude insensitive etc please show me where I went wrong and I will learn for the future

I'm referring to City Cabs not Hibernian.

CRT 3 up, RBS, NHS, Scot Exsec. City Cabs down and out one would think, then boooom, the "holy grail" is landed, namely the Airport Contract.

That shows true bouncebackability shown by the " Professionals"!

The serf drivers propping up owners, propping up the committees.

The committee says discount needed boys, and the drivers get their pockets dipped, and no doubt their rentals increased because of all the "extra" work :badgrin:

again skull you use poor language and make irrelevant points. You are nothing if not predictable.
I dont get your link between driving for 27 years and only now having an opinion. Unlike you I tend to keep my opinions to myself and find that most people I associate with do likewise. It makes for a much more relaxed and stress free life for me. Of course I could come on internet forums and pontificate all day long thinking I am more important than I really am, but surely nobody could be that shallow.....could they??
