Video Of £50K Aston Martin Supercar Being Vandalised By Rogue CabbieA company director has released CCTV footage of a taxi driver vandalising his £50,000 Aston Martin DB9 supercar in an attempt to catch the culprit.
Former paratrooper Brian Lormor was devastated when he found his new black Aston Martin had been scratched all the way down the passenger side outside his home in Houghton-le-Spring on Wearside.
And when he checked the footage recorded on his security cameras, he saw a black taxi drive slowly past the DB9 and the taxi driver hang out and scrape the side of the car with a key.
The 35-year-old, who owns a utility company, posted the footage on Facebook and visited taxi firms in the area to see if they recognise the culprit.
Mr Lormor said: "Most taxi firms around here think it’s a cab from Newcastle.
"I had been out in Newcastle that day and got a taxi back with my wife so it could have been the same driver.
"I want this driver caught and charges brought. I also want him to pay for the repair because it won’t be cheap."
The Aston Martin DB9 is powered by a 470BHP V12 engine and has a top speed of 186mph.
