we drive a 12 plate tx4 euro 5 & are having a great problem with the exhaust fumes ie black smoke, its into patons most weeks for the same problem, despite it being in patons on thursday for two hours for various tests to be done as the factory in coventry asked, where no fault was found i again had black smoke, saturday i thought the motor was about to explode, i droped a family of 5 & without touching the pedals the engine went racing even after i had turned off the ignition it still raced with billows of black smoke so much so people from a nearby pub came rushing out expecting something was on fire, back to patons again, i am not slating patons garage i just wish to know if others a enduring the same problems & what result they have had, the owner is getting suicidal

HELP NEEDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TX4 - pish
Patons (edinburgh branch anyway) - terrible workmanship and customer relations

Wouldn't touch either with the proverbial 12ft barge pole

Let it go bang like most of them have, then get a full refund under the sales of goods act and buy a E7 or Merc

You can reject it now under the sales of goods act, as you have tried to get the problem rectified buy the selling dealer

Yes there have been loads, mainly due to oil starvation, at or around 100,000 miles, dipstick was showing plenty of oil , ask MRT, for a full explanation, allegedly they found a problem with the oil filters, this was rectified but the problem still is on going
