What are the implications for the Hackney Taxi Trade in Edinburgh if Alex Salmond and his "campaign managers" persuade the public to vote yes? Will it be beneficial to the trade or detrimental? Skull and Jasbar, try to respond in a reasonable manner. It's a serious topic. |

As it's a devolved matter, it shouldn't make any difference. |

I think it will be better for us if you go your own way, not so sure about you. But as I've said many times, I wish you well either way. |

I think as long as the English carry on sending the likes of George Osborne (who looks sadly like a posh tory school boy) to Scotland to tell Scots how wrong independence will be - and how they cant use any currency - Scots will get rather p*ssed off and leave anyway - personally daft ar*e Salmond coming out with comments he made today wont in my view appeal to many Scots and I think it was his first mistake of the SNP campaign - if he'd have kept quiet and left it to his finance minister it would have been far more statesmanlike. |

Edinburgh Taxis and PH would be the worse off for Independence, it's to close to England and if a separate Scottish Currency of fluctuating value along with a separate tax system came in to play then you could kiss all your cross border work goodbye, who would you pay income tax to if you had a run from Edinburgh to Newcastle or Carlisle, part of the fare would be earned In England and part in Scotland and paid for in either Sterling or some obscure Scottish currency like a Bawbee or something. Still..it's not going to happen so no worries there. |
