We had a driver rolled over this morning at about 6:am, they took his car keys, money and did a runner. They also did a runner on the 2nd car that was booked. The Operator phoned the plod and yeah you guessed it they couldn't get anyone to him despite the fact they'd robbed him and took his car keys.

Notts Police I hate them with a passion.

Sounds just like Lincolnshire police if the victim is a cabbie forget it they will do their utmost to ensure the criminals get away with it

Do you think they would have robbed the drivers if those drivers had CCTV?

Yes, CCTV deters no-one; it might help catch them afterwards.

Certainly agree on the latter, disagree with the former.

Was driving a six seater a few years back when six iffy dudes got in the cab, saw the CCTV and got out.

CCTV is wonderful isn't it. We have a very iffy housing estate here and they have CCTV cameras at various points on the estate. There is one right across the road from a house that everyone knows that drugs are being sold from. The CCTV is a great deterrent isn't it!

All they wanted to do was go to the land of 100 Virgins.

Just an update on this, they stripped the car when we left it yesterday morning because they'd fecked off with the keys,, they'd nicked the radio, the CD system and emptied the glove box.

What is wrong with you lot CCTV is absolutlely useless and deters no one we have CCTV all over town but it records NOTHING unless an operator in a control room 25 miles away spots something going on and presses the record button !!!! and he is monitoring 100 cameras across 4 towns !!!
