Taxi driver charged with weapon offence after incident by Chelmsford station


A taxi driver has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon and assault following an incident by Chelmsford station.

Mehdi Masoudi, 30, of Taylor Avenue, Melbourne, was arrested by police on June 12 after being involved in a fight with a 23-year-old male outside the Wells Crescent apartment building in Viaduct Road at about 6.30pm.

Masoudi is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on July 3.

The other man involved in the incident has accepted a caution for criminal damage.
