SOUTH Cheshire College is putting taxi drivers on the road to success by launching a double-header of taxi qualifications.
The Introduction to the Role of the Professional Taxi and Private Hire Driver BTEC Level 2 Certificate is a mandatory requirement for all new taxi and private hire drivers.
It can also help prospective or existing drivers who want to start a career transporting passengers.
The BTEC course, delivered over 10 days, is made up of nine units which focus on different elements of the taxi and private vehicle hire industry.
Meanwhile, the Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving (Taxi and Private Hire) is designed to support and develop the knowledge and performance of existing taxi and private hire drivers licensed in the Cheshire East area.
Paul Vogt, the assessor and trainer delivering the qualifications, said: “We are hoping the courses will also be very popular with people who want to go into the taxi and private vehicle hire or have recently gone into the profession."
