Your quite right nothing has changed.

There are still many cab drivers out their desperate to dig out iffy stories about the PH trade.

Sound like he was trying to rip the customer off as well. £25 for a run less than 9 miles. £15 would be about right. He is just another scumbag driver. Good ridance to bad rubbish.

Sussex get a grip. This is not acceptable behavior from a driver and "iffy" is not a word I would use in this case.

And Taxi drivers are the salt of the earth, they never do anything wrong at all.

Get a life

Of course the driver is/was a scumbag; I would be amazed if anyone on here would disagree with that view. But the thread is titled 'nothing changed there then' clearly implying that all PH were as bad as the driver in question.

Now we all know, even though some may not like to say it, that all PH drivers are not as bad as that particular driver. In the same way you or Mr Xsczc aren't in the same league as the few rapists, murderers and thieves that just happened to drive taxis.

I've just heard that the Met banned the LCDC protest today. So it might be your mob that end up filling up the courts. Six months in jail I believe. :D

I wonder if the protest ban had anything to do with the LTDA poster.

You can't ban someone from driving their Taxi around Westminster, what evidence exactly would be given in court?

Perhaps if your side had some real leadership you might have some of the things you so long for through peaceful protest?

I can't help but get the feeling this guy doing all the knifing was probably on the edge for a long time. I wonder what set him off- £3 seems a paltry sum to go ballistic over.

Incidentally, I had a drunken non payer last night. Everyone was bending over backwards for him trying to find way to get the money, the tipping point came when he asked the sergeant for his ID number and threatened him with a complaint. The sergeant then slapped the cuffs on him and dragged him out the taxi. I can hear his dulcet tones even now it went something like this- f*** this sh** it’s the cells for you boy. Can't think what set the sargent off?

Shame I though :D

So some scruffy old tree hugger can live in the Square, but a few hundred cab drivers with the hump have to keep clear.

Isn't it good this New Labour lark?
