After returning from my wonderful holiday in Cuba, I was apprehensive towards the new working operation at the Airport. Now that it has been running for nearly 2 weeks I have the following to say.

F'in Fabulous.
Knighthood for Aird and McVay!

I've never been so busy and seen so many beautiful places in Scotland. As far afield as Tounge. I must however try to keep that in my cheek.

I would however like to wish CRT all the best with their latest court battle. A win I presume for the Airport and proves again that Tony "Kensnowt"

Where are you off to my man? Falkirk. Sit back and relax.

Will all that change when the trams start running?

Or will that effect the buses more?

Should'nt affect the Buses, looks like the bus will be 8 minutes quicker than the tram and cheaper as well for the same journey.....makes the tram Idea an even bigger joke.

Anything to do with Transport in Edinburgh whether it be Planes, trams, Taxis/PH or buses all seems a bit suss to most folk....must be a hell of a lot of well fed and integrated fingers in those five big pies. You'll not can tell who's fingers belongs to who's hands..

Sadly Mr Taxman all those big fares will be written off against the brand spanking new motors that have been purchased. I'm sure you've noticed the outstanding appearance of the City fleet.

Instead of hounding taxi drivers you could look into Starbucks or Google?? After all you get a hard on for tax returns.

Let's break into song...... Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away
If you can use some exotic booze
There's a bar in far Bombay (now known as Mumbai wankman)
Come fly with me, let's fly, let's fly away

I heard that the phc are getting the cream of the out of town work. Having to go through a booking office means that whoevers in that office is probably going to send the good stuff to the phc.

Oh, I seem to have hit a nerve. Ive been in this game longer than you will care to imagine, and what I said in my first post m8(childish way of saying mate) is what I am being told, (now wait for it) by friends that I know in City Cabs. Mull that over on you next trip to Dundee, as you seem to be one of the lucky ones.

Welcome to the Forum Desire. Sadly you seem to be lacking some of yiur handle.

It's maybe too early to state who is getting the cream of the jobs here but I must admit its looking good for the City Cabs fleet.

I'm not going to make assumptions at this early stage of the new rank as I'm not a Gambler, I'll count my money when the dealings done!!!!

Hit a nerve????......... Dont think so m8

You have been in the game longer than I care to imagine??? .....What exactly I am supposed to make of that fascinating statement? As a matter of interest do you know exactly how long I have been in the taxi trade?
Unlike you I see no point in making irrelevant statements

I choose to use m8 instead of mate as its quicker to type. Not childish just quicker m8....

You have friends in City cabs..... they tell you things are not great..wow thats a real newsflash. Out of over 400 permit holders you cant keep everyone happy all the time.
All I know is that since March my takings EVERY shift are up due to the airport contract.

SIMPLES!!!!

A Street Car named Desire how apt? Unfortunately for you Desire your not on the best gig in town, another wannabee who just didn't get an airport permit and never will, keep the rank tidy on Hanover Street boy!

Uber Fabby und Babby............

Why do people, especially those that don't know how the airport is working so good at the moment, still think every customer has to go through a booking office. Utter bollocks.

I guess my jobs to Falkirk, Dunfermline, rosyth, Kirkcaldy, Dalhousie castle and others all went through a ph booking office them sent over to city rank

The guys that have had dundees, Stirling, glasgows and one an Aberdeen all got the job from ph

Don't talk mince.

I'd say join city and get an airport permit. But then again, maybe not as it would be less work for the rest of us that enjoy working the rank.

Excellent post Longshanks. I had a nice trip to Kinross this morning from the Airport Rank and I can verify the passenger did not book through the ECPH booking office. The usual suspects will continue to spill scorn on our operation but that's just sour grapes my friend. City Cabs are Go at the moment and they continue to rise to new heights.

Just look at the oppositions Chiefs, you couldn't right the script or possibly understand dress sense.

Lets hope Gok Wan Kerchief stays in the hob a long time. After all it just proves again that Tony "Kensnowt"

Oh well it's East Craig's this time but the secret to the taxi trade is " KEEP IT MOVING"
