Taxi driver allowed to carry on driving - despite 12 points A TAXI driver who was sent to court after clocking 12 points on his licence has been permitted, conditionally, to continue working as a cabbie. At a Licensing and Appeals Committee in August Broxtowe Borough Council agreed that providing the driver completed a skills course, they were happy to allow him to drive a taxi again. Despite being sentenced at magistrates' court for accruing 12 points, he was not disqualified after pleading exceptional hardship.
