Man arrested and charged following attack on Wisbech taxi driver

Taxi driver Tony Slabber

A man has been arrested and charged with robbery following an assault on taxi driver Tony Slabber near Upwell in August.

Karolis Gudaitis of Farndell Road, Wisbech was arrested and charged with robbery on Wednesday.

Gudaitis, 28, was released on conditional bail to appear before Kings Lynn magistrates on November 21.

Mr Slabber, 49, was attacked in the early hours after picking up a fare and heading off to Three Holes.

The charges against Gudaitis relate to an assault on Mr Slabber and the subsequent theft of the taxi driver’s car.

Mr Slabber’s silver Vauxhall Vectra taxi was found abandoned close to Thomas Clarkson School in Corporation Road, Wisbech some 12 hours after the attack.

Nah those are the locals they are ok it's all the eastern European crime gangs and drug dealers that live out there thats the problem !!
