I done the Class 2 manual, why can't they? Another standard scrapped?

If you’re a lorry, bus or coach driver with an automatic licence, from January you can also gain the manual entitlement when you exchange or upgrade your licence if you already hold a manual licence for a car or lorry or bus or coach – categories B, BE, C, CE, C1, C1E, D, DE or D1E

Am I missing something here, You can only upgrade an Automatic License to a Manual License If you already have a Manual license? That's how it reads to me.

If you have a license to drive an automatic lorry bus or coach but not to drive a manual lorry bus or coach you can get the upgrade if your CAR license if for a manual. If your CAR license is also only for an automatic then you can't get the upgrade.

Correct, you must upgrade your licence so it shows the new entitlement.

Latest from the CPT I that the new changes will not now begin until a date to be announced in February 2014 as the legislation hasn't passed through parliament yet.
