I can't believe that, I heard over the news the economy is recovering, so it must be true. Despite the fact, that every time I go shopping the fu*king cost of everything is going through the roof.

Lucky you. I had 3 jobs between 11 and 1230. Two were no-shows! Went to bed at 0045. And I live in the "prosperous" south-east.

The country's screwed. Banksters have pished more dough against the wall than has been spent on the welfare state since it started.

And if you think it's been rough so far, you ain't seen nothing yet. 90% of cuts are still to come.

I have been saying it for a number of years........."This is the way that we live", and nothing outside of London is going to change. If your/my High Street is generally quiet/empty then you can be certain that there is not much spare money around. The other side of the coin is, those who do have a bit of disposable income, are going to be very choosey as to how it is spent.

Ask yourselves this - What has changed in your neck of the woods that makes you think that things are getting better

Zero, Zilch, Nada is getting better because the cost of living is going through the roof. The increase in prices I've witnessed at my local stores, is scary. Some items, especially the two for one offers have gone up by as much as £1. That is one hell of a jump since before Christmas but there's a double whammy, in some cases, especially if you drive a taxi, your income is falling against rising prices. I don't envy you guys...

This week has been particularly grim down here.

Thankfully there are 51 other weeks in the year that might be a tad better.

Don't do that you'll land in Nandos. I like that Nandos in Durham, I visit there when I visit family in Sacriston, Meadowfield and Brandon.
