Paignton taxi driver pleads not guilty to sexual assault


A TAXI driver from Paignton has pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual assault on a woman.

Kevin Satterley, 48, of Redburn Road, appeared at Torquay Magistrates Court on Thursday.

He denied the charges of intentionally touching the woman in a sexual manner when he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.

The alleged offences took place in July last year at Newton Abbot.

The prosecutor said the offences occurred while Satterley was in ‘a position of trust as a taxi driver’.

The case has been sent to Exeter Crown Court on February 14.

Satterley has been released on conditional bail.
