Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was allegedly subjected to a serious sexual assault in a taxi in Mutley. At about 12.05am on Friday, July 29, officers received a call from a 19-year-old Plymouth woman who complained that she had been indecently assaulted in a 'black cab'.
The victim had got into the cab in Union Street. She claimed the driver of the taxi then spoke to her before allegedly assaulting her.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact them via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting crime reference EC/05/7412.
A 45-year-old Plymouth man has been arrested and released on bail after helping police with their inquiries.
