Taxi driver repeatedly punched in Milton Keynes for asking customer to pay fare up frontA MILTON Keynes taxi driver was repeatedly punched after asking his customer to pare a fare up front.
Two men got into a Vauxhall Vectra taxi in Station Road at about 2.10pm last Thursday (17/4).
As the taxi pulled away, the driver, a 33-year-old man, asked the men to pay the fare up-front, but they refused.
The taxi driver then stopped the vehicle adjacent to the old bus station in Elder Gate and asked the passengers to exit the vehicle.
One of the men then punched the taxi driver several times, before both men ran off in the direction of Argos and Toys R Us.
The man who punched the taxi driver, is black, possibly Somalian, in his late teens to early twenties, about six foot tall and of skinny build.
He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a beige coloured jacket and blue jeans.
The man was called ‘Jimmy’ by the other passenger.
The victim did not need to attend hospital.
