Licensed Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles (Closed Circuit Television) Bill

A private members Bill introduced by the MP for Bedford seeking to require the installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) in all licensed Hackney Carriages and Private Hire vehicles and to establish a minimum standard for such installations.

This Bill was introduced to Parliament on 29 October 2013 under the Ten Minute Rule. Its second reading is scheduled for the 24th of January 2014.

The Bill failed to complete its passage through Parliament before the end of the session. This means the Bill will make no further progress.

Good job too. I do NOT want to be forced to fit CCTV in my cars; there's no need for it round here and no money to pay for it.
