Two charged in connection with serious assault on Dublin taxi driver Driver was assaulted with broken bottle when he went to aid of young woman A man and a woman have been charged in connection with the serious assault of a taxi driver in Dublin. The 32 man was attacked in the early hours of yesterday morning in Ranelagh, when he tried to help a young woman who he believed had been beaten up. When he went to her aid, he was set upon by 2 people and assaulted with a broken bottle. The victim was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment - but he's since been discharged. GardaĆ arrested a 27 year old man and a 22 year old woman.
