Police search for taxi driver who propositioned passenger in Ulverston


POLICE are searching for a taxi driver who propositioned a female passenger in Ulverston.

A 24-year-old woman, from Manchester, got into the taxi outside The Sun Inn in Market Street on Monday August 25 and was being taken to where she was staying, when the driver stopped the vehicle and propositioned her.

The woman refused and was driven to the place she was staying.

Police say the taxi driver was white, around 50-years-old, of medium build, had short grey hair, and was wearing tracksuit bottoms and a dark top.

Anyone with information about the incident and saw a silver taxi in the area is asked to contact Cumbria police on 101.
