If it is a "NO" vote, there could be trouble. The Scots are an apathetic bunch of bas*ards at the best of times but if it takes their hump, anything could happen.

It's a no. Now where's Gus?

Alex Salmond looks deflated, he still looks fat to me.

He was last seen standing on the bridge on Wellington Road looking into the river Dee. 60-40 for the no vote in Aberdeen.

No it makes them partners just as the rest of us who live on these islands are - don't forget what led the Scots to the brink, the feeling of being ignored and overpowered by a small elite in the South East of England - exactly the same as the rest of the country feel and think.

I dare say if you were Scottish you would have voted yes.

So no passport controls at Gretna Green then, no need for bus companies to have international licences, no McEuro as the currency...

I watched it all night. A dignified and proud turnout.

I don't see it as defeat, it's a new beginning for Scotland with far reaching consequences for Westminster.

The vote may have finished, but the pressure on the bullingdon club (including Farage ) has just started.

That's what swayed the "NO" vote I reckon.

perhaps, I think the lack of a viable alternative didn't help the yes camp - I'm sure they'll go away and look at their white paper in the cold light of day and iron out the bits that caused them trouble.
