A manhunt is underway to find a sex attacker who tricked a woman into a car and raped her.
Police Scotland have revealed that a woman was raped by a man who gained her trust and offered her a lift home from a nightclub.
The 26-year-old victim had been out in Glasgow's west end when she got split up from her friends around 2.15am on Sunday.
The woman had just left the Sanctuary Nightclub when a man came up to her and began talking to her.
He then got into a car, which police believe may have been a private hire taxi, with the victim and another man before they all headed to the Dennistoun area of the city.
When the woman got out of the car, one of the men followed her and raped her in a vicious attack.
Police believe that after dropping the woman off, the taxi may have gone to another destination and have asked for the driver to come forward.
The men are described as being white, around 6ft tall, bald and with heavy builds.
The first man was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. The second man, in his late 30s, was wearing a shirt.
Detective Inspector Liz McLean said: "This young woman thought these men were going to help her when in reality they were intent on causing her harm.
"She is extremely distressed by what has happened and it's vital we trace both men. In particular, we would like to speak to the taxi driver who collected the group as it's possible he can provide us with further detail which will enable us in tracing both these men."
