The bit I like and there's lots. This guy wants to change specs, but is not licensed by them, but clearly operates from that area.
Mr Piper is the Managing Director of Oasis Mansfield Ltd. This company is licensed by a Derbyshire Authority and does not hold any Operators, Vehicle or drivers Licenses with Ashfield Council. The suggested changes made by them are in order that they will be able to licence vehicles with the Council which fall outside of the Council’s current, and proposed, Licensing Policy.

Jumping the gun a bit aint they?

There are number of changes to the legislation for taxi and private hire vehicle licensing and Hire vehicle drivers, currently laid before Parliament, which are likely to receive Royal Assent in the New Year. Some of the suggestions made by Mr Piper are covered within the new legislation

nice to see Kev Hitler being mentioned

Don't even go there about that one, what do you expect from someone who never went to school? All the lads have had a laugh today on the rank, of course I had to print a few pages off and show them the grammar.

He's never driven a Taxi for a living, he's never done a days work in his life so, he's in no position to dictate to me what I can and can't charge.

A strongly worded letter has been sent to the licensing Committee objecting to them asking owners of companies their views on price increases when they aren't out on the road trying to earn a living.

His grammar did raise a few chuckles on the rank on a dull morning.

verbally (either by phone or in person) forthwith and by the end of the next working day
at the latest. This must be confirmed in writing within 14 days of the event.

I think he probably means that they are taking £12 per hour and not earning. Now is this £12 every hour or an average over the time they are working?

Why oppose a fare increase after all it's only a maximum, he can always charge less or even the same as he is now, I'm told he has a nice posh mobility car.
