Hey everyone

I've just got my hackney badge in, i plan to rent to begin with and see if i like it, but down the line i might think about buying in.

Anyway i've been trying to work out the pros and cons between owning and renting. If i rent i have a rough idea what i can claim back in tax but if i own i am totally clueless how tax works so think i'm best speaking to a good accountant.

Can any owners put me in the direction of a good one?

Cheers

Give John Cowie a call at London taxis direct, Glasgow, I'm sure he'd be willing to give you advice, I'd recommend though to give yourself a couple of years before you buy in, ask other owners and drivers the Pros and Cons of buying or renting, I bought in 16 years ago age 33, it was the right decision for me

Thanks for the suggestions lads, thats gives me something to work on, just trying to get as organised as possible before i start.

Probably quicker just speaking to an accountant instead of trying to work everything out in my head, cheers :)

You don't need one.
