this headline will make big news up north for years to come , its a different planet, i do some contract work up north and it does take some getting used to, when a kid gets out his seat and approaches you instead of spitting, hitting you he usually offers you some food or asks a decent question ,at first its quite unsettling, apart from the internet their seems to be no contact between the highland youngsters and the city offspring, maybe this is why the parents were in such a panic? |

From my experience of school contracts, the later you get the kids home the happier the parents are. That aside, how could the driver have got it so wrong?

why say he got it wrong? two miles north of dundee and mobile phones are dead,it was the media who blew up this situation, there was no al;ternative route, like a ll us numpties who drive humans about for cash he did his best, but as usual the better story sells, the fact he brought them home alive and well and not sexually abused must be a relief to all the parents who were shixxing themselves but wheres the story the public love?,id like to hear the drivers side, thats if he has not already been impriosoned on child abduction charges |

I think the thing that made the story so newsworthy was that it involved a 'taxi' company, so cleary there's connotations about taking the long way round and the like. I'll have to try that the next time I get a half-mile run - do you think the punters would notice a 130-mile detour?
