What is the law regarding a limo in Scotland , does it need a private hire license???

What about the contract exemption?

Other than 1 EXCLUSIVE contract in any 24 hour period.
And use in connection with a wedding or funeral

When we did limos, most of the time they only did one job in any 24 hour period.. That was all they needed to do.

Any 24 hour period means the 24 hours before and the 24 hours after the job. So in reality it's more like 48 hours + the length of the job.
3 jobs a week instead of 7. Would that still be viable?

Like most of these rules, it's widely abused/ignored. Also the definition of exclusive contract is open to interpretation.

Most of the time it was. especially if we had an asian wedding on the Sunday. 3 jobs a week could easily be over £1,000. It was different for us though because we were licensed by our council so we did not need the contract exemption.
