Apparently Paul Ragan who a few years ago bought Dragon Taxis in Newport for £1.2m has bought their Cardiff namesake. As Dragon in Cardiff are the biggest firm in South Wales (rumoured to be 650/700 drivers) I'd say he paid a damn site more than £1.2m

Nothing in the news about this current deal but here is something from when he purchased Dragon Newport...

I believe he bought A2B Taxis in Solihull (500+ drivers) last year, he has big plans to improve services to drivers, improve the amount of work, improve customer experience, and profitability. I'm told he has plans to buy many more taxi companies across the UK.

I would hazard a guess that it is more likely to be 450/500 drivers and no word on the block as of yet...... Dragon selling.

As ever everything hyped up....500 drivers working (I know dreamland) a 40 hour working week, getting two calls per hour and they would have to have 40,000 jobs a week going through their books Or if you like 5,714 jobs per day......no way in Cardiff.

Their website says they have OVER 500 vehicles ..

http://dragontaxis.com/

They also say in the "about us" page they field 40,000 calls a week..

As for the takeover, it has happened it was finalised a few weeks ago and Dragon are now owned by Veezu.
Drivers were informed officially on Friday. Interesting times ahead.

Can you see that in Cardiff for one company alone :---) Bearing in mind you have Capital and Premier also large companies I just cannot see it, as the place is not awash with money.

Tbh I think ( I could stand corrected) that "Premier" followed by "Dragon" are the dearest in Cardiff. The Hackneys are governed by the Council/L.A. that is a lower tariff than the two companies mentioned.
