Skull do you think other service providers get free rein at the airport? Boots, M&S, Accessorize and WH Smith all pay to sell their goods. Your basic grasp of business is frankly embarrassing.

Really Artur, you do know what a Restrictive Practice is? No. I don't suppose you do. #-o You are that fu*king stupid. #-o

Well out at the Airport, BAA are selling people on like cattle through restricting their access to services by funnelling them into bottle necks and queues to slow down their exit from the Airport concourse. They are essentially turning people into sheeple to be sheered. That is to say, sold on to taxi/Ph companies for services they are already duty bound to provide. In other words, BAA are operating unfair trade practices by controlling access to services. You fu*king numpty!! #-o #-o

Oh and this is why you pay money to sit on a rank to be drip fed into a pick-up point. It is so they can charge some ars*hole for providing a service because they are not smart enough to know any better. #-o

However, you draw the idiotic comparison with "Boots, M&S, Accessorize and WH Smith" and selling over the counter goods to people who are free to exercise their freedom of choice or to walk away. #-o #-o #-o #-o

Oh and yes Artur, "your basic grasp of business is frankly embarrassing" because you are the one paying for the privilege of providing the service. #-o #-o #-o The punters are not owned by anyone and no one has the right to restrict their access to any service. #-o #-o #-o #-o

You see what I mean about giving people like you an education? =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

But people can get a taxi, PH, bus, tram, their own car or even get picked up by a loved one (for a pound).

Everyone is paying! The bus companies don't pick up for free, they're charged to have a stance! And the general public even have to pay to drop off and pick up. This is just not exclusive to the Edinburgh can trade.

And no one is forcing the cabbies to pay and pick up. Don't get me wrong Skull I'd like to live in your free utopian world but it just doesn't exist.

I've obviously hit a nerve with the article I suggested

You think you win any argument by calling someone stupid, whereas you just come across as ignorant and bitter.

Where is Josef when we need him telling you to scoop that poop?

You have become TDO's resident bore!

BAA are not the owners of Edinburgh Airport and haven't been for almost two years.

And your point? It's still a Restrictive Practice. :-|

My point was simply that if you're going to "educate" people, try and use correct and factual information. Or are you saying that my point isn't 'the point' because it didn't directly relate to your point?

Yes. You are correct about the factual information with regards to the name of the company now running the airport. However, I was referring specifically to their restrictive operating practice. Oh and BAA were up to the same nonsense... :-|
