Cabn****r: a disparaging term used to describe a member of a socially, economically or politically deprived group.

Where do you want to start? :D

I know, what about the 3500 Cabn****rs in Edinburgh who have no political say in their trade, whatsoever and are denied unfettered access to the tools of that trade to earn a living?

Or what about the rights denied to Cabn****rs as a whole, when faced with an allegation from a member of the public?

Oh and then there's the inordinate amount of hours spent in the saddle to pay a stipend to an "owner" just to earn a crust and to keep his pretendy little business afloat?

And let's not forget that you can't own a plate and it has no intrinsic value. It is, in fact, public property and can't be legally sold or transferred. All you are buying is a job or access to the tools of your trade which should be yours by right.

I could go on...

Now does anyone want to explain how the term Cabn****r does not apply to you? :-|

PS. Socially you are excrement and economically, you've been Rodgered or do you need me to elaborate further? :-|

But is the problem the owners perceived greed or the drivers complete apathy?

Down here we have journeymen working loads of hours, but when you ask them if they are happy working all those hours, for someones else's benefit, most seem content.

I doubt the trade in your manor is much different than mine, so maybe most journeymen are content with their lot.

To be honest I wish they weren't.

I think most would take offence at being referred to in that way - especially by a chap who was effectively a slave owner

Aye well maybe they just don't want to look at the reality of their lot. :-| How do you feel about being denied your rights and yielding to the will and judgement of others just to give them position and finding yourself powerless to do anything about it? It's the slave mentality all over again. :-| Massa: get to the toolshed boy! oh yessa massa I gon be a gud nigga! eusasmiles.zip

It's the learned deference and ignorance of the drivers, their dependence on the system and the greed of the owners that keeps them all swimming around in the dregs at the bottom of the barrel. :-|

I don't think it is apathy, they have just learned not to question the system. :-|

I'm going to allow these last few posts as banter - but be warned - I'm watching and if I deem posts unsuitable, personalised [edited by admin] I'll ban or delete - you should be aware - the entire Scottish section is under serious observation (yes that's a melodramatic serious) and may well be deleted if the tone doesn't improve.

ffs you are all grown up's - behave! ffs

One word Gary

Willing

The vast majority of whom you talk about are Willing players, I've never heard any other since you and bubble gums show concern about how the trade in Edinburgh works, like the pub leasing system the trade works fine :D
