Belfast driver fined for £400 for taxi licensing and insurance offences A Belfast driver was fined a total of £400 and received 6 penalty points at Belfast Magistrate’s Court today. ~ Tuesday, 26 May 2015 Mr William George Shannon of St James Road, Belfast was fined £50 for using an unlicensed taxi, £50 for no taxi driver’s licence and £50 for no taxi operator licence. He was also fined £250 for no insurance and was ordered to pay a £15 offender levy. On 6 September 2014, a Toyota Avensis was observed by DVA Enforcement Officers carrying passengers for hire to Titanic Quarter Belfast.
