Post subject:  Taxi Driver returns purse
In the face of the barrage of bad news stories being posted on this site here is a little something a City Cabs driver received today that would never get reported but is indicative of the behaviour from the vast majority of taxi drivers.

I just wanted to let you know about one of your wonderful cab drivers. I took a taxi with Eric ****** on 20 May and had with me many bags. Unfortunately my purse fell out without me noticing into his cab. Eric contacted me the next day and informed me of this, and ensured that my purse was safely returned to the office of the company I work for (Royal London). In Eric taking this action, it meant that I didn't have to go through the painful process off cancelling all of my cards and my purse was safely back with me by Saturday. I am very grateful that Eric was kind enough to call and let me know I had left my purse with him and am very grateful for his help in getting it back to me.

Please could you ensure that this is passed onto Eric and/or his supervisor. I will be sending something to Eric individually in the post to your office address to express my thanks.

Got a regular punter from one of our freephones and she left her fags and phone in the car.

I popped it back to her when I was passing her door next and she was really grateful.

Went past her door the other day and she was getting into another firms car.

F***ing ungrateful cow. :sad:
