Taxi driver jailed for conduct towards womenA taxi driver who told a female passenger he hated women has been jailed for 15 months for his towards lone females.
Michael Boyd locked one woman in his car, pestered her to go out with him and said he would keep her in his taxi until she gave him her phone number.
Within a matter of hours he left another female passenger petrified as he took her back to her home from a friend's house.
He picked up the 47-year-old, told his firm he hadn't collected her and then repeatedly told her he hated women during the journey.
Boyd, 34, was locked up yesterday (MON) at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for his conduct towards the two passengers, and stalking his neighbour and his ex girlfriend.
He was also banned from approaching or contacting his ex and neighbour for four years.
Alan Parfery, prosecuting, told the court that Boyd had been working as a taxi driver with firm Thistle Cabs in early 2014 when he picked Elizabeth McCluskey and two friends up after a night out.
He locked the doors and drove to the woman's house, parked up and started making advances towards her. She eventually escaped.
Later he picked up another woman and called Kilmarnock women sluts, the court heard.
