Cabfind.com to hold Merseyside open days as it looks to take on 20 more staff

Wirral transport-on-demand technology firm expanding months after takeover

Merseyside-based Cabfind.com, the UK’s biggest provider of transport-on-demand technology, is set to expand by creating 20 new jobs.

The firm, which already employs more than 90 people at its Birkenhead base, provides managed transport services to more than 120 corporate accounts using private hire cars and coaches from a UK-wide network of 140,000 vehicles.

It was set up by brothers Chris and Tim Jordan in 2005 and in February this year was acquired by French-based global transport specialist Transdev.

Following that deal an expansion strategy has been put in place to grow the business both nationally and internationally.

Cabfind is now seeking 20 local people for roles including call centre work and administrative and finance assistance to more skilled roles including sales, key account managers and senior managers.

And the firm says it may need to recruit more people later in the year.

Managing director Chris Jordan said: “We have a number of opportunities within CabFind.com for the right people to excel in our fast-paced and ever-changing business.

“We know that the local area is a hotbed of talent, so we have decided to hold two recruitment days and meet those who can potentially add to our existing workforce of over 90 employees.”

Cabfind.com’s corporate clients include Capita, First Great Western, Channel 4 and HM Prison Service.

The company’s commercial director, Debbie Thompson, added: “CabFind.com is a young, fun company with real career progression prospects for the right people with clear personal ambition and goals.

“We have decided to hold the recruitment days as an informal way of meeting people in the local area who would be an asset to our team and aid our growth strategy.

“Anyone interested in attending should bring their current CV with them, but we are stressing that we aren’t necessarily looking for a long list of qualifications or experience, just a great attitude and desire to learn and progress.”

Recruitment days will be held between 10am and 4pm at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, No 1 Old Hall Street on Tuesday, August 25, and at Egerton House, Birkenhead on Wednesday, August 26.

Those unable to make the days can email their CV to hr@cabfind.com

An interesting way to describe it.
