Paedo phile driving instructor and former minicab proprietor from Wellingborough who abused children in AA car faces sentencing
A paedo phile driving instructor from Northamptonshire who filmed himself sexually abusing children in the back of his AA car, a court heard.
Matthew Ottley, aged 40, lured two children into his vehicle after befriending them at the school gates and then drove them to a remote country lane where he abused them.
The former AA instructor, who now lives in Saxon Way, Wellingborough, pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child and arranging or facilitating child prostitution or pornography at Maidstone Crown Court.
He was also charged with two counts relating to filming the sexual assaults over a four-day period last November.
Ottley, who ran his own driving school in Kent called ‘I Drive Safely’ with his wife for 11 years and also owned a mini cab firm called ‘Matt’s Taxi’s’, was released on bail until sentencing next month.
The Crown Prosecution Service said a further three counts of abuse would remain on file after Ottley denied the charges.
The mother of one of his 12-year-old victims has now spoken of her hatred for Ottley, claiming he shattered her daughter’s innocence.
“You do not realise evil can be so close to your door,” she said.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said her ‘bubbly, innocent child’ was trapped in Ottley’s AA driving school car with her friend.
The mother-of-two said: “It makes my blood boil. I despise him - I absolutely despise him.
“My daughter is relieved she does not have to face him and I am relieved we do not have to drag it all up again and go through the gory details of what he has done.
“I would like them to put him behind bars now so that we can get on with our normal life. It has made me feel sick from the bottom of my stomach.
“You do not realise evil can be so close to your door.
“I have always heard about these things happening but never thought it could happen to me.”
Ottley was suspended by the AA in July but severed all connections with them in September.
