Many a time I have had "You have got to take my mate to the hospital", either they have "I think a broken ankle" Or "I think that they might go into a coma" (drank too much)..........everytime............call an ambulance. It is amazing with all of these stories - either they are short of money Or it was only a little, little bit of puke Or we should pay to clean up after baby has arrived. Never, never, is gratitude being offered for going beyond the call of duty. Personally I probably would not take an offer of money, however it would be nice to see some sincerity. |

Does she think taxis are for free and drivers don't need the going rate to live off during a minor emergency, if she wanted free she should have used an ambulance, that's what they are for. It was she who was being scrooge like...just throwing the driver chick feed for his efforts. |

you lot are getting there .....eventually, i can say one thing, if my grandchild was having a "reaction" as she put it , the last thing i would do is phone a taxi, i would just call a ambulance immediately, she claims she said in the cab that he was "potentially dying" & she knew this & called a taxi? what if they had no cars available for 20 mins or so? but yet again, the bloke just going about his everyday job ends up out of pocket/spew in his cab, & made to look a right t**t, unreal the public, honestly |

As an ambulance technician can administer adrenaline and a paramedic can do so intravenously during cardiac arrest then treatment can start as soon as the ambulance arrives. In severe cases every second counts so I'd rather my kid be in an ambulance than in a taxi. What would have happened if they'd got stuck in traffic? |

We used to transport a kid to school who had a peanut allergy. The escort was shown how to use the kids epi-pen if there was an emergency. So if this kid had such an allergy did his mum have the same equipment? |
Black cab = vinyl floor = easy to wipe up.
I do not think that should be the point. You/I have a soiling tariff in order that the public know that it is not alright to turn a cab/car into a sewer. That woman was another on the make/another one denigrating the trade and trying to embarass the driver into 1. dropping his fare 2. dropping the soil charge! I would wager that if a tradesman was doing a job in her house and chucked up.........she would be screaming compo - Just remember " Give them an inch and they will take a mile". You have to realise what is genuine and what is not.........she is most definitely not
