Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint by customer in Coffee Hall, Milton Keynes A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint by a customer in Coffee Hall, Milton Keynes, yesterday afternoon (January 21). The taxi driver stopped his vehicle, a black Toyota Avensis, which had one customer on board, in Lloyds, Coffee Hall, at about 5.50pm The customer then threatened the taxi driver with a handgun and demanded that he handover money. A quantity of cash was stolen. The offender is white, mid-twenties, slim, with facial stubble. He was wearing denim jeans, a white T-shirt and a light blue jumper. He was carrying an orange Sainsbury's carrier bag. The offender entered the taxi outside Sainsbury's supermarket in Brunel Shopping Centre, Bletchley. Investigating officer, Det Sgt Jason Simpson of Force CID based at Milton Keynes police station, said: "Following the offence the offender ran off in the direction of Oldbrook and was chased by members of the public, who recovered a discarded bag containing a gas powered hand gun. "I would appeal to anyone who hasn't already come forward to contact police with any information, no matter how insignificant they think it might be. "If you have any information about the incident please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101. "If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. If they have got the weapon they will get the scum bag who did the robbery. Just hope he doesn't get the judge that dished out the suspended sentence to the slag that slashed the driver in Oldham.
