Department for Transport written question – answered on 9th February 2016.

Daniel Zeichner Daniel Zeichner Shadow Minister (Transport)

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, when he plans to respond to the report by the Law Commission on taxi and private hire services, published in May 2014.

Andrew Jones Andrew Jones Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Transport)

I refer the hon Member to the answer I gave on 20 November 2015, http://www.parliament.uk/business/publi ... -09/15469/ .

So obviously when they have finished considering it. Possibly when they've cocked it up so much it will be the best way forward without losing face

in other words not this parliament unless a few large PH firms offer them a couple of million quid to bolster the re-election funds. The priority is linked to the value to them

A single legislative framework for taxi and ph throughout England and Wales. Don't suppose i will see it in my lunchtime, but am starting to warm to the idea.

With the many varied interpretations of a simple piece of legislation such as the 2015 deregulation Act, I mean who does not get it when I say NO BLANKET POLICY?

single legislation why not ?? Main problem Drivers are completely incapable of agreeing what regulations should be imposed upon them at their WORKPLACE so incapable they cannot even organise themselves into a viable National Organisation/Union so they will forever be treated as imbecilic morons by those creating the legislation 8)
