This teenager, accused of not paying his taxi fare, was tracked down by a furious cabbie so he could inflict this bizarre punishment.
The 15-year-old, believed to be a drug user, jumped in a cab and clocked up a bill of around £32 as he drove around town allegedly hunting for a dealer.
But he fled without paying and the incensed driver decided to track him down.
After going to his home the driver offered the youngster's parents two options - pay up or he would go to the police.
But when the parents refused to pay, the taxi driver took the boy to nearby woodlands and forced him to strip to the waist.
To shame the cheat, the cabbie then got the teenager to cover his face, head, chest and arms in bright blue dye as a warning to others.
The punishment - called an 'Avatar' after the blue aliens in the hit movie of the same name - is said to be common with cabbies.
One told local media: "It's a warning for other taxi drivers to not stop for this customer because they'll try to cheat you."
The incident took place in the town of Novokuznetsk in central Russia.
