Minicab driver suffered serious facial injuries in Barking assault


A minicab driver was taken to hospital in an ambulance last night after he was assaulted by three men.

A minicab driver was taken to hospital last night after he was attacked by three passengers.

Police believe that the victim, who was in his 60s, was assaulted after he arrived in Gurney Close, Barking. Three black men got into the cab and attacked the driver following an altercation, causing serious facial injuries.

The men made off and police were called to the scene at 7pm. The man was then taken by London Ambulance Service to hospital, where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries.
