Cabfind.com to relocate in one of Birkenhead's biggest office deals

Six figure relocation by taxi specialist to accommodate further expansion and recruitment

In one of the largest office deals in Birkenhead in the last two years, Cabfind.com is to relocate a short distance to a new, two floor 10,689 sq ft home at 12 Quays House, Egerton Wharf under a 10-year lease as part of a six-figure investment.

The business, which arranges taxis for corporate customers throughout the UK and internationally, was acquired last year by French transport group Transdev.

Cabfind.com managing director Chris Jordan said: “We had originally planned to bring our team together to occupy one complete section of our current home within Egerton House in Birkenhead.

“However, since our acquisition by Transdev we have quickly determined that a much bigger space will be needed as we recruit more staff to meet the needs of the business .

“We hope to create 20 new jobs in this year alone.”

Commercial director Debbie Thompson, added: “"Since becoming part of the Transdev portfolio, Cabfind.com has seen a 20% increase of staff thanks to four recruitment drives to meet the level of demand for our logistical services.

"It was important to bring our teams together in one new, inspiring space as we enter an exciting period of further growth and innovation.

"With Cabfind.com working under Transdev, our new headquarters needed to reflect the truly international nature of our business as it looks to expand into new markets.”

Investment by the parent company has enabled the firm to increase the supplier network of its fleet of private hire vehicles across the UK, in turn providing more journeys for its increasing portfolio of corporate clients including major rail networks, retailers, travel management companies and local councils.

The relocation will see the firm move into its new offices, which are positioned along the Wirral Waters development with excellent links to both Mersey tunnels, train stations and the Wirral ferry terminal.

The 10,689 sq ft building spans two floors with a private 32 space car park.

Cabfind.com was advised during the relocation by Matthew Newton, of Quantum GN.
