Taxi driver assaulted in Ramsgate



POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was assaulted by two men in Ramsgate.

The incident is reported to have taken place on Saturday, March 26 between 2am and 2.30am in Harbour Parade.

The driver picked the two men up from the taxi rank in Harbour Parade at approximately 2am and the suspects asked to be taken to Margate.

The driver initially took them to a cash machine in Harbour Street but refused to take them any further.

He drove back to Harbour Parade and it is reported the two men returned to that location and assaulted him. The driver is reported to have been left with bruising to his chin.

The first of the two suspects is white and aged between 18 and 22. He is approximately 5ft 11ins in height with a slim build and short, dark brown hair. At the time he was wearing a white t shirt and jeans.

The second is white and aged between 22 and 25, approximately 5ft 8ins tall with a medium build and shaved blonde hair. At the time he was wearing a t shirt and jeans.
