Taxi driver charged over indecent assault of teenage girl inside her house

Police have charged a taxi driver with indecent assault after he allegedly followed a teenage passenger home and went into her house after dropping her off late on a Saturday night.
It's alleged the 46-year-old picked up the 18-year-old and her friend from a nightclub at Lismore in northern NSW on May 28.
He dropped the girl at home on Keen Street in Lismore, then drove her friend home to the Lismore central business district.
Police allege the taxi driver then drove back to the teenager's house before he went inside and indecently assaulted her.

She raised the alarm, and police began investigating the incident.
On Wednesday, the man was arrested in Lismore and charged with indecent assault and entering a dwelling and committing a serious indictable offence.
He was granted strict conditional bail.
The man will appear at Lismore Local Court on July 18.
