Once again the TAXI(hackney carriage) has been the receiver of much bad publicity on a public website when the perpetrator is clearly a private hire driver and vehicle, when will people realise that there is a huge difference between the TAXI(the name states it) and the private hire trade, |

Thank you Nigel for your email, we deeply ashamed of the conduct of this Leicester City Council licensed driver, and he clearly broke the law, and has been dispensed with, as well as being reported to the council. The driver is now free to work for any firm he chooses. Our policy is clear, we do not discriminate. If we have drivers reported to us for breaking terms of their license, we cut them off from our bookings system and no longer use their service. The manager I believe is contacting the customer concerned, and will offer him a full apology and some free journeys. Kind Regards David Hunter |

Sounds like it's turned into a racial debate. Thank you Nigel, its been a traumatic 24 hours for us all hear, as it turned into a racial debate with a lot of our staff that dont belong to an ethnic group, being abused. Kind Regards David Hunter |

Simple solution to this issue and child sexual abuse don't issue Hackney or Ph badges to Muslims. I'm sure the licensing authorities know this would work but there's not a hope in hell any would have the balls to do it. |

It would be a minefield but tread carefully and the objective can be achieved. |

So it's just a coincidence that most of the drivers that refuse to take guide/assistance dogs and the drivers involved in the organised child sex abuse rings happen to come from a certain religious background. The problem with followers of Islam is they believe there religious laws are superior to the laws of the land they are in unless that changes this is certain to result in more offences of this nature. |

TO INFER THAT MUSLIMS ARE ALL SEX PREDATORS OR INCAPABLE OR REFUSING TO FOLLOW LICENSING REQUIREMENTS IS LUDICROUS,THERE ARE THOUSANDS WHO DO ON A DAILY BASIS TO POINT OUT THE FACTUAL HISTORY OF SUCH FREQUENT EVENTS AND REQUEST MUSLIM AUTHORITY'S INVESTIGATE AND PRONOUNCE ON SUCH OCCURRENCES IS FAIR AND PROPER .............................SO LETS HEAR FROM THEIR REPS PLEASE! HAS THIS DRIVER BEEN DEALT WITH BY THE COUNCIL YET SURELY HE MUST BE BANNED FOR LIFE FROM THE INDUSTRY?? |

It seems to me that whilst the company say they have now got rid of the driver why did they not insist the driver taking the customer in the first place instead of offering to send another car? |

A simple way around this persistent problem is to have a notice posted alongside/within the vehicle license, stating.......This "VEHICLE" and "DRIVER" are licensed to carry "GUIDE DOGS". What could be simpler? nobody could possibly claim anything different. |

To get rid of this persistent problem! Why not incorporate within the vehicle/driver license, an automatic inclusion that the vehicle and driver are licensed to carry (a) "Guide Dog". It leaves no doubt to any driver of his/her legal obligations, or to any customer, who might think that as many as they like is the order of the day. |
