Firstly the article states A19 DUAL carriageway not Motorway and secondly sliding doors are easily pulled off their runners by heavy handed customers yanking them open so if the customer has previously done that and the driver hasn't noticed that could account for it not necessarily poor maintenance. That said it is normally quite obvious that that has happened ! I lost track of how many times on my transporter before I finally got rid of the money pit !
