Bristol taxi driver threatened with hammer by passenger

A hammer-wielding passenger threatened a taxi driver while being ferried across Bristol.

Detectives would now like to trace this man in connection with the robbery which occurred on Capgrave Close, Brislington on July 24.

A man, who was being driven between Hartcliffe and Brislington, along with another man and woman, threatened the taxi driver with a hammer.

The driver escaped without any injuries.

An Avon and Somerset police spokeswoman said: "If you have any information, please call us on 101 and speak to PC 2400 Hudd.

"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

"They never ask for your name or contact details."
