a travesty in this case BUT would you be happy if you went to prison for a crime you didn't commit because the rules were broken and the case was allowed ?that is what they are there to protect against

I understand what you are saying. Having said that I cannot see as to how "Not reading him his rights"......makes him any the less guilty. I would be seething to see anyone get off just because of something so trivial. The point being is this; Regardless of what his rights were, he had still done a terrible crime.

At least he wasn't out roaming the streets free to offend again whilst this mess was sorted out. I would like to think that if he wasn't already in prison that it would have been sorted sooner.
