Liverpool taxi driver appears in court accused of Aintree rape A Liverpool taxi driver appeared in court accused of raping a woman in Aintree. Lee Yuen faces two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault after the alleged attack in the early hours of Sunday, October 9. The incident is said to have happened at around 3:45am after the victim was picked up in Liverpool city centre. Shaven-haired Yuen, 36, of Railbrook Hey, Old Swan , appeared in the dock at South Sefton Magistrates Court wearing a grey hooded top. He spoke to confirm his name and address but did not enter a plea. Yuen was granted conditional bail by magistrates and the case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court. He was ordered to report to St Anne Street police station daily and tagged to stay indoors between the hours of 7pm and 7am. Magistrates also told Yuen he must not ply for fares or carry out any work as a taxi driver while on bail. He was ordered not to approach or contact the complainant or any witnesses in the case. lets wait for the outcome before judging him but innocent or guilty the court has banned him from working |
