The Department for Transport is working with other departments including the Home Office and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to consider how common sense regulation can be introduce where transport is an ancillary element of the service provided. Consumer safety remains the primary concern.

I wouldn't take Passengers into my home and Accommodate them overnight without an appropriate licence so why the Fcuk should a Hotel Run their Clients about PH style...if they want to do so then get a Private Hire Licence just like I'd need a hotelier Licence to offer my clients accomodation....horses for courses, Is it not common sense to give Taxis and PH a little bit of the spinoff work, god knows we take lots of clients to these whiner hotels...just pure greed.
