So how will this affect the taxi trade how will the Goverment deal with councils that adapt a
mixed fleet taxi policy like in Dundee (section 165) will be an extra duty in law for taxi drivers that drive
a designated Wav taxi (section 167) this will affect 60% of dundee taxi drivers/operators yet the other 40% of saloon operators are exempt from this extra duty Yet Wav operators have to purchase very expensive vehicals and have the extra duty imposed on them but the 40% saloon operators can buy a cheap domestic saloon car from any garage/car dealer loads to choose from great deals fantastic cheap prices and be exempt from (section 165) mmmmmm something not quite right there.

This replaced the 1985 Dis Act, so who knows.

My view is that if some drivers are forced to licensed a WAV, then all drivers should.

All they need to do is make it...that all Taxi licences are inter/changeable...can be put onto either..let the driver go were the work is..that's what we do in Sefton.
