shortest newspaper article ever ? A hackney carriage driver has had his licence suspended for 12 months after police complaints about his driving. Mr Mohammed Usman Zaman will have to attend a driver training course and pay £2,500 to St Albans District Council. that's a hefty fine would be interested to know why he is being made to pay that ? Anyone concerned about the driving of a hackney carriage or private hire driver can notify the Council on 01727 296164. They will need to provide the taxi plate or vehicle registration number of the vehicle concerned. |

If the individual is bad enough to be kept away from punters for that long then surely his license should have been revoked.
